My brother, Dave, was looking for a new residence last year and once he walked in the door at Tinley Court, he quickly decided that this is where he wanted to live. The minute you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly faces, and a comfortable, homey decor, music and a cozy fireplace. The common spaces are welcoming, the dining room sunny and bright, and there is a host of activities that residents can participate in if they so choose. My brother loved the time he spent there and made many friends. His room was very clean and maintained weekly. He loved the food, and the attention given to his every need. Most of all, he loved the staff and how caring they were. They are sincerely interested in every phase of their residents' care, and make it a point to be very accommodating to all needs, even recommending outside services if necessary. I particularly felt relieved that my brother found a home away from home, and I was always warmly welcomed every time I would come to Tinley Court. I would highly recommend Tinley Court to anyone wishing to find a secure, loving, caring and homey atmosphere for their loved ones. Cindy Stephens, Sharon, Lynn, Cid and Heather are extremely helpful and will explain all phases of life at Tinley Courts and will help you in any way possible. Thanks to you all and God bless you for what you do!

If you are looking for a warm safe and caring environment for a loved one there is no better solution. Cindy Stephens is a dedicated advocate for senior living and will walk you thru every step to make sure all residents needs are met. I visited several facilities and what kept drawing me back to Tinley Court was the daily activities that were truly happening. What I found is many places have listings posted of activities that never happen ....whether it be the chapel, beauty shop or activity room there was action . The lobby is a pleasant gathering place with music and daily newspapers for neighborly conversation. One big need for us was My Mom was a smoker ... And the smoking cafe was a perfect solution. The dining hall is pleasant and the staff is so accommodating. The more I researched it became very apparent to me that Tinley Court was a place to Live ...whereas other facilities had a feel of goin to a place to die.

I would be glad to discuss at length my experience with Tinley Court as I know what a huge decision you may need to make.

Dear Tinley Court Staff,

In May of this year, Clem "Big Moose" Stawicki came to Tinley Court to start a new phase of his life. He was uncertain and maybe a little frightened of this move, but your kind and warm staff was invaluable in dispelling his fears. He now tells me he is happy in his new home. Your staff has been a true blessing to both him and his grateful family.

To Tinley Court Staff-

Thanks so much for the love and support you showed to our Dad, Don Disteldorf. He was very happy during the time he spent at Tinley Court. He really considered it his home.

On 10/31/15, I moved into Tinley Court Retirement Community. I was coming towards the end of a three year stroke recovery. Prior to moving into Tinley Court, I had been living in nursing homes and rehab centers. Let’s just say…they didn’t feel like a home and I wasn’t too happy. That all changed when I moved into Tinley Court. I was met by courteous, professional, loving employees and residents who genuinely cared about me, my health, and spirit. I knew I found a new and comfortable home. I was shown to my single, private apartment with a walk-in shower.

I walked with a cane and employees and residents would watch over me so I didn’t fall and always voiced encouragement. I made many new friends and my spirit soared and my walking greatly improved. The food was delicious and filling; breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily. Activities galore and entertainment periodically provided in the spacious family/living room with a fireplace. I knew I had found a new and comfortable home.

Eventually, my health improved and I was able to move back home with my wife, two children, and three dogs. I was happy to move back home, but I sure do miss the many friends I made. I call them often and try to visit as often as I can.

If you’re thinking about settling down in a loving, caring, stress-free environment (whether permanently or temporarily), I implore you to come to Tinley Court and check it out.

Dear Staff at Tinley Court,

It was only about 4 years ago we came though your doors frightened, anxious and worried if this was the right place for mom, Lorraine Capperino.

I am happy to say it was the best decision we ever made with mom. After a short adjustment period she settled in. She made many friends and loved the staff from the office to the kitchen to the cleaning crew, particularly Cyd, the activities director. She spent many hours playing games, bingo, Wi Bowling ,playing solitaire on the computer and enjoying the visiting entertainment. Found solace attending prayer services of all faiths and took pride taking new residents under her wing helping them acclimate to their new home. We always felt mom was well cared for by this competent and compassionate staff.

We lost mom this summer but we're comforted knowing the last years of her life she was happy and loved the life Tinley Court provided for her. We are happy to call the staff friends and will miss seeing them but will visit often?

Dear Cindy,

I am writing this letter to tell you first of all how happy and grateful I am to you and your team at Tinley Court. From the very first day, you have all been wonderful to my father, Marvin Rauch and you continue to treat him with great respect and dignity. It has not always been easy, but your compassion and genuine efforts to make his life at Tinley Court a better one is something you cannot put a price tag on, especially in regards to the care and contentment of a loved one. I remember your brilliant solution regarding his hording of papers and cans. You approached it in a way that was positive and respectful. I will never forget what you have done for me and my family. Tinley Court has given me peace of mind, something I have not had in regards to my father's welfare in more than 15 years. I thought it was important to share this with you.

When I asked for your assistance regarding additional care for my Dad earlier this year, you were very helpful. I will always be so thankful to you for helping me finally improve my Dad's hygiene habits, which has been an issue for him for many, many years. There are no words to express what this means to me. I just felt it was time to share with you the difference you and everyone at Tinley Court have made in my life and in Marvin's life.
